Located in the Scotiabank Convention Centre and held over the last weekend in March, this year’s show has been designed and curated to titillate both your creativity and your envy with even more vendors, ideas, celebrity appearances, and seminars — all of which will assist you in making your home improvement dreams more of a reality. Book your Niagara Falls’ accommodations now, and start making plans to attend this amazing and fun-filled home and garden show. Here is a closer look at just some of what’s in store at this year’s fifth annual event.

What You’ll Find There

Whether you’re in the market for a new sink or you’re looking for tips on how to maximize your garden area for next season, you’ll come away from the Greater Niagara Home and Garden Show with a head full of new ideas and plenty of inspiration for how to accomplish them. Hundreds of vendors showcase pools, spas, kitchenware, new building materials, plants, innovative products, the latest in home decorating, and much more. And each knowledgeable vendor can offer a host of indoor and outdoor decorating advice and know-how related to the product or service they’re showcasing.

Every day includes a wealth and variety of DIY seminars where you can brush up on your fixer-upper skills or learn an entire new approach to landscaping. There will also be live pet adoptions for the homeowner in need of a good companion or mouser as well. There’s even an Interactive Kid Zone to keep your children happy should you want to make the weekend a family affair.

The Fabulous Beekman Boys

image003One of the most promising highlights of this year’s show will be Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell’s attendance and seminars. The couple purchased a farm in upstate New York called the Beekman Farm and have managed to transform it and their own lives in just five short years. These days, they’re being called the next Martha Stewarts thanks to their approach to stylish, rustic-centered seasonal living. They have a reality television show called “The Fabulous Beekman Boys,” which showcases their life and work on the farm, a James-Beard-nominated lifestyle website, bestselling books, and a massively popular lifestyle brand: “Beekman 1802.” Entertaining and erudite, the two promise to be one of the most talked-about inclusions at this year’s show.

The Details

Held over the weekend of March 27 through 29, the show opens at 2 p.m. on Friday and runs through Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors over 65, and members of the military with active ID and children 16 and under can attend for free.

So, head to Niagara Falls if you’re a homeowner looking to spruce up your digs. You’ll find everything you need and more at the Greater Niagara Home and Garden Show.
