2021 Canada Summer Games Coming to Niagara

It’s official – the Niagara Region has been named the host of the 2021 Canada Summer Games. The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition for amateur athletes, held every two years and alternating between summer and winter events. The Summer Games include sports like basketball, soccer, swimming, tennis, rowing, track and field, diving, cycling, and more, and with all of these sporting events happening throughout Niagara, it is bound to be an exciting and special time to visit the city.

Niagara will be bustling with excitement as young athletes from all across the country will be travelling to the region to represent their province or territory in various sports. Since the inaugural Games in 1967 in Quebec City, over 75,000 amateur athletes have participated in the Games with many having gone on to represent Canada in the Olympics. Spectators will have the chance to watch highly-skilled athletes compete at a national level, and by attending the events and ceremonies surrounding the Games, will also be connected with incredible experiences they won’t soon forget.
