Musical Lineup Revealed for Niagara Falls New Year’s Eve Celebration
November 2, 2018 3:21 pmThe musical lineup for this year’s Niagara Falls New Year’s Eve celebration in Queen Victoria Park has just been revealed! The all-Canadian lineup features Burton Cummings, The Sheepdogs, Walk Off the Earth, and Niagara’s very own Avenue Inn.
This totally free event begins at 8pm and in addition to an amazing outdoor concert, it will feature two fireworks shows at 9pm and midnight, along with an outdoor licensed area and food and beverage vendors.
And now, get to know a little bit more about this year’s Canadian performers:
Burton Cummings
Celebrated Canadian musician Burton Cummings is widely known as the lead singer and songwriter of The Guess Who and for legendary solo hits like “Stand Tall” and “My Own Way to Rock”. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2016 and continues to tour around Canada and the United States.
The Sheepdogs
The Sheepdogs are a multi Juno Award-winning retro rock band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2011, they became the first unsigned band to make the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and went on to release six studio albums and a number of popular songs like “I Don’t Know”, “Feeling Good”, and “The Way It Is”.
Walk Off the Earth
Walk Off the Earth is a Burlington-based indie pop band known for their creative music videos of covers and original songs, one of which features all five members of the band simultaneously playing one guitar. The band won the 2016 Juno Award for Group of the Year, has appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and has gone on to release a string of successful original songs.
Avenue Inn
Avenue Inn is a Niagara Falls based alternative rock band that was named Band of the Year at the Niagara Music Awards and released a brand new album called “Tonight”.
