Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours will officially launch their 2012 season today on the Canadian side, and May 4 on the US side. The early start is a result of a mild winter experienced by the Niagara Region and Southern Ontario.
Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours takes guests on a breathtaking guided tour of the lower Niagara River, and the chance to hear about the significant role it plays in Niagara’s history. The awe-inspiring ride continues with the famous 360 degree Hamilton Turn, before punching into the class 5 rapids that make up Devil’s Hole.
The Maid of the Mist will set out on its first trip of the season on Thursday. Thanks in part to a mild winter, the iconic Maid of the Mist will open its season three weeks earlier than last year. Tours will continue to carry passengers to the base of the Falls through October 24, 2012. 2012 marks the 166th season for the Maid, which is one of Niagara’s most fabled attractions.
