The Final Details for Nik Wallenda June 15th

As the wire goes up at 6pm Tuesday Night, there is no turning back for Nik Wallenda and his historic wire-walk across the mouth of the Horseshoe Falls. Niagara Falls is gearing up for the event and bearing down for the expected 100,000 people.

The event has been finalized to begin just after 10pm on Friday, June 15, 2012. The wire is 550m, Wallenda has estimated it will take him about 40-50 minutes to complete the walk. The two-inch thick cable will run from Goat Island, NY to Table Rock, ON. Fireworks will begin upon Wallenda’s completion.

For those driving in be sure to watch for Road Closures and Bridge Delays. There will be designated Park & Ride lots organized by Niagara Parks to shuttle close to the event. Free viewing will be along the Niagara Gorge in Queen Victoria Park. Queen Victoria Park is just steps away from Falls Avenue Resort, large crowds can be expected in this area.
