wfolThe Winter Festival of Lights returns for its 31st Annual Celebrations!

The Festival, which officially opens on Nov. 9, will run until Jan. 31, lighting up the Niagara Parkway and surrounding park areas with extravagant lighting displays.

A favourite of children and families, the Winter Festival of Lights has been delighting millions of people over the past 30 years.

As Canada’s largest illumination festival and the premiere illumination festival in North America, the Festival is something that can’t be missed.

This year’s spectacle will feature a brand new display of 20 Korean lanterns to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War and 50 years of diplomatic relations between Canada and South Korea. The lanterns are large-scale works of art that will bring a blast of bright colour to the festival.

Also returning this year is the TD Rink at the Brink, an open-air outdoor ice skating rink located just near the brink of the falls. Ice skaters can enjoy the incredible view of the falls on one side and the beautiful Winter Festival of Lights displays on the other. The TD Rink on the Brink will be open for skating from December 1 to February 28, 2014, right beside the Table Rock Welcome Centre on the Niagara Parkway.

Make the most out of your visit to the Winter Festival of Lights by taking in the rest of Niagara Falls and check out some of the other family attractions like the Falls Avenue Resort, the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark and the Rainforest Café, all located at the base of the world famous Clifton Hill.
