The Lights

A charming tradition for more than 40 years, the Winter Festival of Lights illuminates Niagara Falls with a mesmerizing display of more than 75 themed installations and 3 million lights along an 8-kilometer stretch, including the Niagara Parkway and Dufferin Islands. You can walk or drive through these breathtaking displays, where themed areas like the Royal Promenade and Frosted Falls will delight visitors of all ages. Fireworks Over the Falls

The Niagara Falls Illumination Board’s captivating display mimics winter scenes like the Northern Lights, snowstorms, and snowflakes falling over the Falls. Catch this five-minute light show at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:00 pm every night of the festival—an ideal way to conclude a day of sightseeing. The animated display can be viewed from Fallsview guestrooms or suites at the Sheraton or Crowne Plaza.

During the Winter Festival of Lights, indulge in the return of the Niagara Falls Hot Chocolate Trail!
