Salsa at Niagara Falls

September 12–13, 2026 | Queen Victoria Park

For the first time, Salsa at Niagara Falls is bringing the sights, sounds and flavours of Latin culture right to the edge of the Falls.

This new family-friendly festival takes over Queen Victoria Park for two days of live music, world-class dance performances, authentic Latin cuisine, vendor markets and immersive cultural experiences. Two stages and multiple dance areas will keep the park moving throughout the weekend, with entertainment designed for visitors of all ages.

The setting makes this one especially memorable for families: you can spend the day enjoying the festival with Niagara Falls as the backdrop, then stay into the evening as each night concludes with a 10:00 p.m. fireworks display choreographed to salsa music.

See 200+ Supercars at Niagara 5000

September 18, 2026 | Fallsview Casino Resort & Niagara Parkway

Young car fans—and plenty of grown-up ones—will want to be in Niagara Falls on September 18.

As part of Niagara 5000, families can attend two of the event’s biggest attractions for free. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Exotic Car Show at Fallsview Casino Resort will put more than 200 supercars on display, giving visitors a chance to see some of the world’s most impressive vehicles up close.

Then, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the action moves to the Niagara Parkway for the free Supercar Parade in front of Niagara Falls. More than 200 vehicles are expected to travel along the route, creating one of the most unique sights of the month. Both events are free for spectators and require no ticket.

For families, these public events are the perfect way to experience the excitement of Niagara 5000.

Spend a Thursday at the Fallsview Casino Backyard BBQ

Thursdays through September 24 | 3:00–9:00 p.m.

Summer flavours stick around a little longer at the Fallsview Casino Resort Backyard BBQ, which continues every Thursday through September 24.

The outdoor food and drink market is open to all ages and combines food vendors, an easygoing outdoor atmosphere and live entertainment. The market runs from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with live music from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

September dates include September 3, 10, 17 and 24, making it an easy addition to a midweek family getaway. Grab something to eat, enjoy the music and then make your way toward the Falls for the evening fireworks.

Celebrate Harvest Season at the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival

September 25–27, 2026 | St. Catharines

The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival may celebrate the region’s wine country, but some of its most beloved traditions are made especially for families.

The festival’s Grande Parade takes place in downtown St. Catharines on Saturday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m., filling the streets with colourful floats, marching bands, dancers and more than 1,500 performers. It’s a longstanding Niagara fall tradition and one of the biggest family events of the festival.

Families can also head to Montebello Park on Saturday and Sunday for the Family Fun Zone, featuring inflatable games, face painting, crafts and kid-friendly activities. On Sunday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m., children can even become part of the celebration during the Pied Piper Parade, which travels through Montebello Park before finishing near the Harvest Lounge Pavilion.

Admission to the main Grape & Wine Festival at Montebello Park is free from September 25–27, making it a great addition to a Niagara weekend.

End Every Day With Fireworks Over Niagara Falls

You don’t need to plan your visit around a festival weekend to find something special happening in Niagara Falls this September.

The Niagara Falls Fireworks Series continues every night throughout the month, with displays beginning at 10:00 p.m. The 2026 nightly series runs from May 15 through October 12, weather permitting.

Before the fireworks begin, families can also watch Niagara Falls transform after dark with the nightly illumination. During September, the Falls begin lighting up at 7:00 p.m. through September 19 and 6:30 p.m. beginning September 20.
