In 1953, the famous American actress, model and singer, Marilyn Monroe made her way to Canada to film the classic movie – you guessed it – ‘Niagara’. This film noir was one of Fox’s greatest box office hits of the year and Monroe’s second lead role.
While filming in Niagara Falls, Monroe stayed in room 801 at the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls Fallsview, which was then called the General Brock Hotel. Over the years, many of our lucky guests have the honour to call this special room their home as they visit Niagara Falls like Monroe did back in 1953. Some guest even request room 801 in hopes that they will share the same room that Marilyn Monroe once had.
