Expanded GO Train Service to Niagara Falls Opens Options for Guests

Guests visiting Falls Avenue Resort and Niagara Falls via GO Train will have more options this Summer!  

GO Transit has announced that more trains will travel to Niagara Falls on the Lakeshore West Line and Niagara Trains. Two new weekeday round trips have been added to the schedule, and a third round trip has been introduced each day on the weekends and holiday Mondays.

The new weekday trips are well-timed for day trips, and hotel check-in and check-out times.  Always check with GO Transit for schedule updates, but the proposed train times are:

Departing from Union at 9:03 a.m., 1:03p.m., and 5:03 p.m.
Departing from Niagara Falls at 12:05 p.m., 4:05 p.m., and 8:05 p.m.

When the Niagara GO Train isn’t available, you can take the Lakeshore West GO Train to Burlington and transfer to GO Bus Route 12 to get to Niagara. It will drop you off at the Niagara Falls Bus Terminal, across the street from the Niagara Falls Train Station.

For visitors wishing to explore Niagara Falls on two wheels, the popular bike train cars, where cyclists can store their bikes for the trip will be available through Thanksgiving during weekend and holiday trips. The Niagara seasonal trains will contain 12-cars and will include three bike coaches capable of holding 18 bicycles each.

GO/WEGO Combo Ticket

Combine travel to Niagara Falls with local transportation to top Niagara Falls Attractions.  GO+WEGO Pass allows guests to travel by GO Train on weekends between Union Station and Niagara Falls and hop-on hop-off access on the WEGO bus service while in Niagara Falls.  WEGO connects all Niagara Parks locations to the tourist district with stops at all major attractions and hotels.

Weekend GO Pass

If your travels bring you to Niagara Falls on the weekend, consider a Weekend GO Pass!  The weekend pass, provides unlimited use across the entire GO network on Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Mondays. Guests can travel to Niagara Falls from Toronto, and all stops in between and beyond for $10 for one-day unlimited use, or $15 for two-day use.  Add that children 12 and under ride free, this makes a GO Train trip to stay at a Niagara Falls Hotel and visit exciting Niagara Falls attractions an economical option.  Weekend pass tickets must be purchased online, and activated via smartphone.
